Just before our shoot, I spent sometime walking through the enchanting Mackenzie King Estates on the outskirts of Ottawa, in Gatineau Quebec. Camera in hand, everything seemed perfect. We’d selected a time just before golden hour, where the sun’s warm, golden glow gently outlined the trees. My dear friends, Nick and Camille, had invited me to be their engagement photographer, celebrating their recent proposal. And with the fall colours around us, I just knew those photos would be breathtaking, and truly capture the happiness and love they shared.

From stolen glances to tender embraces and whispered secrets, we focused on the details that truly mattered. Post-processing enhanced the autumn colors, removing distractions and background elements to keep the spotlight on Nick and Camille’s love. Their comfort in front of the camera allowed us to capture the authentic connection they shared, an exciting beginning to their new chapter.
