As a creative here in the city, I’ve had the privilege of documenting some incredible moments — but this one was special.

Louis, a Canadian Armed Forces member, reached out to Sean Menezes Photography to plan a surprise proposal for Divine. We met beforehand to scout Kìwekì Point, one of Ottawa’s most beautiful natural backdrops, and together made sure every detail was just right.

When the big day arrived, I waited in position as they walked the trail. Louis dropped to one knee, and Divine said yes! A beautiful, emotional moment I felt beyond honoured to capture.
