Capturing Holistic Movement and Meditation in Ottawa: A Journey with Kate Braddon

Ottawa’s wellness scene thrives on the contributions of locals who enrich our community daily through their shared practices that emphasize balance, mindfulness, and well-being. One such voice is Kate Braddon—local dietitian, dedicated yoga instructor, and my wonderful fiancée. Her yoga practice beautifully integrates physical, mental, and spiritual health, creating a space that is both grounding and transformative.

With teaching experience in Toronto and attendance at enriching retreats in Bali, Kate brings an international depth and perspective to her classes. Her sessions cater to all skill levels, gently challenging participants while providing modifications to make each pose accessible. Through soulful meditations and skillful guidance, her classes foster a profound sense of calm that lingers long after participants leave.

Recently, we had the opportunity to capture her journey in a photo session as she prepared to teach a Hot Hatha class at Movati Kanata. My aim was to showcase her grace, passion, and the serenity that infuses every movement.

As her partner, I feel incredibly fortunate to support her work and share in her journey. It’s a joy to capture her story and witness the meaningful impact she has on the lives of others.
